Camardella was born Nov. 3, 1932, in Fiumefreddo, Calabria, Italy. She immigrated to New York in 1947 and initially lived in the Bronx. For most of her adult life she lived in Pelham Manor and Mount Vernon. After a modeling career, she owned and operated Wolf's Lane Deli and Parkview Restaurant in Pelham from 1965 to 1975.
Camardella is survived by her sons, Joseph and Anthony; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Paolina of Sao Paolo, Brazil. She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony; and daughter, Catharine.
Calling hours are Thursday, March 27 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, March 28 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Yannantuono Burr Davis Sharpe Funeral Home, 584 Gramatan Ave., Mt. Vernon, NY 10552. A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 29 at St. Catharine's Church, Pelham. Interment at Beechwoods Cemetery, New Rochelle.
