PELHAM, N.Y. - Sheldon Blitstein of Pelham died Sunday, July 7. He was 71.
Blitstein was born Dec. 19, 1941, in the Bronx, to Sol and Mae Blitstein. He served in the army from 1963 to 1965. He graduated from NYU with masters in social work and recently retired from Family Services of Westchester.
Blitstein is survived by his wife, Carol; children, John, Edouard and Michelle; and a grandchild. He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Leo; and nephew, Stephen.
