Patrick M. Murphy, 62, Of Pelham

PELHAM, N.Y. - Patrick M. Murphy Sr., of Pelham died Wednesday, Jan. 22. He was 62.

Murphy was born March 7, 1951, in Baltimore, Md., to Mada Gail and Charles Jefferson Murphy. The family relocated to Pelham where he graduated from Pelham Memorial High School in 1969. He received his Bachelors degree from Iona College in 1973. He was a lifetime member of Huguenot Yacht Club in New Rochelle. In 1984, he embarked on a 30 year financial career as a bond trader, beginning with Lebenthal & Co. in Manhattan, where he was vice president. He moved to Cape Cod, Mass., in 2004. In 2005 he worked with Merrill Lynch, where he was vice president.

Murphy is survived by his wife, Mary Joan Murphy; sons, Patrick Murphy Jr., Steven Lilly and Brendan McClain; brother, Charles Jefferson Murphy Jr.; sister, Gail Murphy-Cmejla; three grandchildren; and seven nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; and daughter, Kellie Anne Murphy.

Calling hours are Thursday, Jan. 30 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Fred H. McGrath & Son Funeral Home in Bronxville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Jan. 31 at St. Joseph's Church, Bronxville.
