Pal M. Porzio, 95, Of Pelham; Worked As Engineer In Mount Vernon

PELHAM, N.Y. – Pal M. Porzio, a longtime resident of Pelham, died June 1. He was 95.

Porzio was born March 28, 1920, in Mount Vernon, to Thomas and Grace (nee Petrillo) Porzio, serving in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II and working as an operating engineer for Mt. Vernon Contracting for more than 40 years.

He was predeceased by his parents, and is survived by his wife Rita (nee Camardella), two daughters, Grace (James) O'Neill and her husband James, and Angela Porzio; two grandsons, Paul and James O'Neill, and sister Joanne Petrillo.

Visiting hours will be from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel Inc., 16 Shea Place, New Rochelle.

A funeral Mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Catharine's Church.

Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Stony Brook University Breast Cancer Research.
