PELHAM, N.Y. Marie Beier Graziadei, a 30-year Pelham resident, died Sept. 27 at Sentara Virginia Beach Hospital surrounded by family. She was 89.
She married John David Graziadei in 1948 at Subic Bay Naval Station in the Philippines. She followed her husband throughout various tours of duty before returning to Pelham, her husband's hometown.
Graziadei was an active congregant of St. Catherine's Church and member of the Ladies of Charity of Pelham. She relocated to Virginia Beach after her husband's death in 1989 to be closer to her children. She became a parishioner of Star of the Sea Catholic Church and an active volunteer for its social outreach ministry.
She was predeceased by her husband and a son, John Julius Graziadei. She is survived by a daughter, Ann Graziadei, of Fairfax, Va.; a son, Jim (Juanita) Graziadei, of Virginia Beach; and three grandchildren.
Services will be held in Virginia Beach. A Mass of resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Altmeyer Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
