Courtland W. Troutman, Pelham Manor Resident

PELHAM, N.Y. -- Courtland W. Troutman, a Pelham Manor resident, died on Tuesday, Jan 6. 

Troutman was born in 1929 in Reading, Pa., to Warren and Orpah Troutman. An only child, he graduated from Harvard College magna cum laude in 1951 and from Harvard Law School in 1954.

He married Patricia Worthington in 1954. Troutman served in the Army intelligence services in Stuttgart, Germany, from 1954-56.

He was a member of Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft from 1956-94; at the firm, he served as one of the managing partners for many years.

Troutman loved to play golf, travel, garden and spend time at his house in Columbia County. He is survived by his wife; his son, Curt; his daughter, Gretchen; and his two grandchildren.

A  celebration of Troutman's life will be held at the Pelham Funeral Home, 64 Lincoln Ave., from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11.

There will be a service on Monday, Jan. 12, at 11 a.m. at Huguenot Church, 901 Pelhamdale Ave., Pelham Manor.
