Alfred J. 'Cappy' Carpanzano, 70, Of Pelham

PELHAM, N.Y. – Alfred J. "Cappy" Carpanzano, a longtime resident of Pelham, died on Tuesday, Sept. 1. He was 70.

Carpanzano was born in New Rochelle to Peter and Angelina (Cairo) Carpanzano.

He graduated from New Rochelle High School.

He worked as a tool and die maker and for Zip Pak in Rockland County before retiring in 2010.

He is survived by three daughters, Adele and her husband Marvin Jones, Dawn Marie and her husband Anthony Lanza, MaryBeth and her husband Michael Fata, his sister Marie Morett and her husband Pat, and six grandchildren.

Carpanzano was predeceased by three brothers, Salvatore, Patsy and Joseph.

Visiting hours are on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Pelham Funeral Home, 64 Lincoln Ave. in Pelham.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, at St. Joseph's Church, 280 Washington Ave. in New Rochelle.

Internment will be at Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye.
