Winged Foot in Mamaroneck, Trump National in Briarcliff Manor and Willow Ridge in Harrison were among the clubs that nixed the president's request to avoid inconveniencing their club members over Labor Day weekend by shutting down courses, according to the report.

Obama was in the area to attend fundraisers in New Rochelle and Purchase on Aug. 29 and the wedding of his chef on Aug. 30 at the Blue Hill at Stone Barns in Pocantico Hills.
