Two Pelham Cooling Centers To Use During Heat Wave

PELHAM, N.Y. – The Pelham Public Library has been designated as a cooling center, according to Deputy Town Clerk Jessica Hynes. The Richard J. Daronco Town House has also been used as a cooling center in the past and Hynes said she expects the same this year.

Residents can use the cooling centers during the current heat wave. The National Weather Service issued an excessive heat warning for Westchester County until Friday at 10 p.m.

The National Weather Service predicts a high of 101 degrees Friday with heat index values as high as 111 degrees.

The Pelham Public Library website can be found here and the Richard J. Daronco Town House can be found at 20 Fifth Avenue.
