PELHAM, N.Y. Oct. 15 will be a busy day in the Pelham area. The Pelham Manor Board of Trustees approved at Monday night's meeting some street closures on that day for the Pelham Children's Center's Annual 5K and Family Fun Run.
The Village of Pelham Board of Trustees recently approved the closure of Fifth Avenue for a street fair on that same Saturday.
Aisling Bier of 45 Beech Tree Lane requested the closure and cooperation from the police.
"This is a community event that is worth supporting," said Mayor James O'Connor at Monday's meeting.
Peggy Nicholson and Anne Sweazey also requested the use of Shore Park on Saturday, Oct. 1 for the Pelham Memorial High School Class of 1956 reunion.
Meanwhile, the board also approved a review for a new sign for the Mandee on Pelham Parkway and picked a company to replace concrete on sidewalks in the village.
