PELHAM MANOR, N.Y. Pelham Manor police dealt with two separate stolen bicycle cases on Sunday.
A man told police that someone walked up his driveway, past his house and into his garage and stole his mountain bike at some point between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. The bicycle is a black Trek mountain bike with a gray and blue child seat attached to the back of it. The bike is valued at $600, according to the police report.
The suspect left a silver Razor scooter at the foot of the driveway and police tagged it as evidence. The man told police no other items were stolen.
Police found the detached child seat in front of Number One Chinese Restaurant at the corner of Pelhamdale Avenue and Boston Post Road. The female manager of the restaurant described the suspects to police as two African-American males age 18 to 20. She said one was approximately six feet tall, skinny and wore a red polo jacket. She described the other as 58, skinny and wearing a black baseball cap. Both men were riding a bike.
Police tagged the child seat as evidence. Officers told the bicycle owner they found the seat but that he would have to speak to detectives to claim it.
