WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- The Southern Westchester BOCES Licensed Practical Nursing Program welcomed approximately 110 new students on Sept. 3 at its location in Harrison.
The Licensed Practical Nursing program gives students both the academic and clinical experience they will need to work in the nursing field.
The program offers two options: A 10-month full-time program and a 20-month part-time program.
During their course of study, students will learn about nursing theory, anatomy, medical/surgical nursing, pediatrics, obstetrics and the administration of medicine.
Students who complete the LPN program at BOCES earn a practical nursing license by passing the National Council Licensing Practical Nursing exam.
