  • Owen R. Berkowitz has joined the Westchester brokerage of Douglas Elliman Real Estate. Berkowitz has closed more than 100 real estate transactions in his career in New Rochelle, the Pelhams, Hastings, Irvington, West Harrison, Rye, Tuckahoe, Chappaqua, Armonk, Mount Vernon, White Plains, South Salem and City Island. He earned the Westchester County “Rookie of the Year” award in 2007.
  • Gas prices have dropped slightly in Pelham and Pelham Manor as the summer driving season approaches. GasBuddy listed the Gulf and Shell stations on Boston Post Road as having the cheapest gas in Pelham Manor, at $3.85 per gallon of regular.
  • Friends, colleagues and residents are rallying to help retired Pelham Town Supervisor Joe Solimine Sr., who was recently diagnosed with leukemia and is in need of a bone marrow transplant. A bone marrow donor drive to help find a match for Solimine and others like him will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 13 at the Pelham Country Club, 940 Wynnewood Road, Pelham.
