Pelham Woman Celebrates Her 105th Birthday With Visit From Her Doctor

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – Pelham resident Ann Sayer recently celebrated her 105th birthday with help from Dr. Norris Fox, chief of geriatrics at Sound Shore Medical Center in New Rochelle.

Sayer, who has lived in Pelham for the last 90 years, has been receiving in-home health care through Sound Shore Medical’s Center for the Sound Aging Home Visit Program, through which Fox has become a part of the family, a press release said.

In addition to physician visits, the hospital’s in-home services can include laboratory, pharmacy, physical therapy, pain management and Palliative care, the release said.
