Pelham Police Restrain Man Who Kicked Dad's Window

PELHAM, N.Y. – Pelham police took a man into headquarters after he allegedly cracked a window at his father’s house after the two engaged in a heated verbal dispute Tuesday night.

Police responded to the home at approximately 7:45 p.m. and saw the man irate outside and making erratic movements. Officers calmed him down and he explained that he had argued with his father over issues regarding his past behavior problems.

The two argued at a New Rochelle restaurant and the man took a cab home alone, according to the police report.

Police then spoke with the father, who said that he refused to allow his son inside the house because of his behavior. The son then allegedly kicked the side window attached to the front door and cracked the glass pane.

Officers handcuffed the man for their own safety and transported him to headquarters to further investigate any criminal mischief. The father said he did not want to pursue charges.
