Pelham Police Locate Missing Woman With Phone Call

PELHAM, N.Y. – Pelham police located a missing woman with a phone call after her husband was unable to contact her for several days.A man told Pelham police Sunday morning that he was unable to reach his wife, who had travelled to Baltimore to find a job. He said he had not been able to contact her since Thursday.The woman was supposed to be staying with a friend and working with a temp agency called Randstad staffing and recruiting, according to the police report. The man said he did not have the friend's address or phone number. He told police that he and his wife were separated, though not legally.The man said he had spoken to his wife every day she was gone either through cell phone calls or text messages. He told police he had left several messages, all of which were unreturned, and that his wife had also not spoken to any other family members, including her two children. who live with her mother.The man contacted the Baltimore Police Department but officers there told him to contact the Pelham Police Department to fill out a report.Pelham police spoke to the woman's mother, who gave the same account as her husband. Both said that the woman had no medical history. Police left a message with the woman to contact the Pelham Police Department.The case was referred to the detective division, but police eventually reached the woman and determined that she was safe.
