Pelham Police Handle Threatening Phone Call

PELHAM, N.Y. – The Pelham Police Department received a call from a Fourth Avenue woman who was the victim of a threatening phone call Tuesday afternoon. The victim received the call on her cellphone and was told by the suspect he was from Microsoft. He advised her that her computer was about to crash and she needed to log onto it and do what he said. She stated that she was not going to do what he asked. The suspect became irate and told the victim that her family was all going to die like in the movie “Tomorrow is Another Day.”

The victim hung up the phone and did not give police the suspect’s full phone number. She was advised by police to put her number onto the “no call list” for sales calls and to try and contact AT&T regarding annoying phone calls.
