PELHAM, N.Y. Fall has arrived in Pelham in numerous ways. Green signs that read "Autumn in Pelham" hang over the streets. DeCicco Food Market displays bright orange pumpkins on the sidewalk. But Pelham Pet Shop owner Ashlin Cooke took the fall decorations a step further. Aside from the orange and brown leaves she placed in her store's window, Cooke used a horse saddle as the centerpiece of her fall motif. The Australian stock saddle, which Cooke has owned for a few years, signifies that the pet store now sells products for horses. Cooke said both parts of the display should draw the eye of customers and passersby on the street. "I love orange," Cooke said. "I'm particularly drawn to orange for some reason. But I adore the saddle." Cooke arranged the decorations last week and said she would adjust the window display toward the end of the month in favor of Halloween decorations. Cooke and her family own a pony and a love of horses runs deep for her. "It's like my fantasy saddle," Cooke said. "Kids dream about having horse. This was the saddle I always wanted."
