Pelham PD: Accident Leads to Suspended License Charges

PELHAM MANOR, N.Y. – Pelham Manor Police reported to a motor vehicle accident at HomeGoods on Sunday. The accident, which took place in the parking lot in front of the store, was called in by an employee at 7:31. 

Upon arrival, the officer spoke with both of the drivers involved in the incident. The male victim was driving a 2000 gold Oldsmobile Silhouette and was sitting at a stop sign in the Post Road Plaza. He was attempting to make a left to exit the parking lot. The female victim, driving a 2005 gold Acura TL, was going straight to exit the parking lot when the male victim struck the left side of her vehicle. 

After the incident, a license check of both drivers revealed that the female driver had a suspended license. She was placed under arrest for aggravated unlicensed operation in the second-degree. She’s had her license suspended four times.   

She was released on $100 bail and is due back at the Pelham Town Court on Feb. 23. An MV-104 was completed after the incident.

- The Pelham Manor Police Department was notified on Saturday at 10:20 a.m. by Lifeline that a person was feeling dizzy and could not get out of bed. Once the policeman arrived, he spoke with the Clay Avenue woman and she said that when she sat up in bed, she felt dizzy and lightheaded. The medic arrived and checked her vitals, which revealed an “extremely high” blood pressure. Once the ambulance reached the home, the victim was transported to Sound Shore Medical Center for further treatment and observation.

- While washing his police car at the USA Car Wash on Monday at 9:48 a.m., a Pelham Manor police officer was approached by the manager and told of an incident on Monday at 3:00 a.m. A New York registered car pulled in for gas and then exited, after receiving the gas, with the nozzle still affixed. The incident caused $500 worth of damage to the gas pump nozzle and hose and the vehicle had not come back during the day.
