PELHAM, N.Y. The town of Pelham is one of the smallest towns in all of Westchester County. The entire town covers only 2.2 square miles.
Only one-tenth of a mile of the town is water. Pelham touches just a small portion of the Long Island Sound near the New York Athletic Club on Shore Road. The remaining 2.1 miles of Pelham is land.
Despite its small size, Pelham has approximately 12,000 residents, which equals 6,000 people per square mile.
