PELHAM, N.Y. The newly renovated Pelham Bay & Split Rock Golf Courses will host the Pelham Art Centers 37th annual spring benefit, entitled Havana Nights on March 31. The event will feature a live and silent auction of various artists work and a limited special edition Super Bowl XLVI replica football signed by Eli Manning.
Our Cuban theme promises to bring an exciting rhythm to our gala, said benefit co-chairperson Lorraine Hale Doherty. The committee has worked hard to ensure an evening replete with sensational auction items, striking dancing, exotic foods and lively surprises. She also said that due to limited seating, guests should buy their tickets immediately.
The event will also feature live Cuban music, salsa dancers, cigar rolling, Cuban-style appetizers, drinks and a sit down dinner.
Some of the art featured will be from Cuban artist Mauricio Trenards original silkscreen, El Gallo Rojo, and abstract painting, Marina by Dora Tomulic. The works of Bronxville architect Anderson Kenny and New Rochelle High School art educator Scott Seaboldt will also be on display.
The bevy of auction items include tickets to the New York City Ballet, Yankees, and Broadways hit Book of Mormon in addition to cigars and rum, private art appraisals and other gifts for people of all ages.
All tickets include dinner, dessert and cocktails. The ticket levels are $185 for an individual (El Vecino), $350 (El Gobernador, one ticket and acknowledgement in the event's journal), $700 (El Presidente, two tickets and acknowledgement in journal), or $2,000 (El Rey, table for 10 and acknowledgement in journal).
Tickets can be purchased by phone, mail or online before March 17. Reservations can be made online or by calling 914-738-2525, ext. 11.
