New Allegations Surface Against Mount Vernon Mayor

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- Mayor Ernie Davis is facing a new set of allegations in the wake of his guilty plea on federal tax charges, according to News 12 Westchester.

The embattled mayor is now being accused of asking City Hall staffers to write letters on his behalf to the judge who will sentence him next month, News 12 Westchester reported. 

Davis contends a memo giving instruction on how to write the letter and where to send it was distributed only upon request, News 12 Westchester said.
