MetroCard Mobile Van Schedules Westchester Visits

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – The Metropolitan Transportation Authority has unveiled its MetroCard Mobile Van, which will be making its rounds through Westchester neighborhoods starting in January.

Transit riders will be able to purchase and refill cards and a staff behind the wheel will be able to answer questions and explain rates as well as discounts. Riders will also be able to apply for reduced rates if they are 65 and older or have qualifying disabilities.

MetroCards can be used on the county’s Bee-Line bus system as well as New York City’s transit system.

The van is provided by the county’s Department of Transportation in conjunction with the MTA New York City Transit Authority.
