Man Tells Pelham Manor Police he was Attacked

PELHAM MANOR, N.Y. – A man flagged down a patrolling police officer early Wednesday morning to tell him that he was attacked by three men, one of whom had a handgun, Tuesday night.

The man told Pelham Manor police that he went to the Omni Sports & Fitness Complex on Pelham Parkway to play soccer at approximately 10 p.m. A fight broke out among the players during the game and the man said he tried to break it up, according to the police report.

During the scuffle, he the man said accidentally punched a man known only as “Dave” in the face. The man apologized and assumed the altercation had ended, but he saw Dave making a call on his cell phone moments later.

Approximately 15 minutes later, three men arrived at the complex. The man described one as in his early 20s wearing a black hoodie and jeans, a second in his mid-20s with a black hoodie and jeans and the third as in his early 30s with a white jacket and black pants.

The man alleged that the third person showed a handgun in his right, front pocket. That man allegedly punched the victim in the face and ribs without warning and the three fled the area.

The man said he recognized one of the three men as a frequent soccer player at the sports complex but did not know his name. He did not recognize the other two men.

He also said he was certain he knows where Dave works and was convinced that Dave called the three men who attacked him, according to the police report.
