Purves has more than 19 years of management experience and an extensive technical background in HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems. He oversees multimillion-dollar high-rise projects that include superstructures, conversions and community rehabilitation, and he’s responsible for project scheduling, budgeting, personnel, monthly financials and closeout preparations.

As a certified site safety manager, he also ensures that all workers in the field, including those of subcontractors, obtain federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) cards and follow site safety management protocol.

“Kurt brings to his new position a wealth of experience in all aspects of project management," said Rella Fogliano, president of MacQuesten Development. "As a key member of the MacQuesten team, he has successfully supervised the construction of many of our development projects."

Projects completed or in progress under Purves’ supervision include the Mother Arnetta Crawford Housing, an 84-unit, LEED-certified building in the Bronx; the new construction of Creston Burnside, which will feature 115 residential units and 10,000 square feet of retail space in the Bronx; Heritage Homes Phase II and Phase III in New Rochelle; and The Modern in Mount Vernon.

MacQuesten Development specializes in financing, designing and construction management of multi-family, affordable housing and commercial properties, which are then privately held by affiliated companies.

The company has developed 11 buildings and 1,500 units of affordable housing in New York City and Westchester County since 1992. MacQuesten has current development projects in excess of $200 million throughout the five boroughs and Westchester.
