A serious accident that initially resulted in the closure of the right lane on a stretch of I-95 late Friday afternoon is causing heavy delays during the evening commute.
The accident occurred on the southbound side just south of Exit 16 in New Rochelle.
Traffic is backed up for several miles following the 4:25 p.m. accident.
