Construction Continues Under Overpass in Pelham

PELHAM, N.Y. – Construction on a manhole under the railroad overpass on Fifth Avenue continued Wednesday. Joken Construction began installing a meter on the water main under the street and installing a manhole in the street last Monday.

A police car with its lights flashing was on the corner of Fifth Avenue and First Street. Orange traffic cones guided traffic under the overpass.

Police said traffic had not been affected by the construction because the work and cones blocked only the parking spaces in the area. Traffic could still flow normally through the worksite.
