Construction Continues at Pelham's Four Corners

PELHAM MANOR, N.Y. – Workers laid new concrete onto the sidewalk at the intersection known as “Four Corners” in Pelham Manor on Tuesday afternoon.

The construction is part of an ongoing project to install new traffic lights and pedestrian signals at the intersection of Boston Post Road and Pelhamdale Avenue in the coming months. Foreman Dave Marcojohn said a few weeks ago that the work should take a few months. In addition to the traffic lights and pedestrian signals, workers will also install handicap ramps on the sidewalks and paint new crosswalk striping.

Marcojohn said the project will be completed in phases. The existing lights will be taken down in favor of new ones. A worker directed traffic with an orange flag as drivers maneuvered around cones at the intersection.
