Quinn and Senerchia are credited with creating the Bucket Challenge, which benefited the ALS Association’s Greater New York Chapter.
Nearly 600 people attended the 20th annual benefit at the Marriott Marquis in Manhattan.
The benefit raised $1 million to fight ALS, often called Lou Gehrig’s disease.
“We are grateful to our supporters for their commitment over the last 20 years,” Dorine Gordon, president and chief executive officer of the ALS Association Greater New York Chapter, said in a press release.
“We continue to fulfill our mission of fighting this terrible disease by funding research and providing care for our patients and their families.”
ALS Association staff members and volunteers also honored other area residents, including former New York Yankee Don Mattingly, former New York Met Keith Hernandez and former Pittsburgh Steeler Franco Harris.
