Pelham Residents Earn Academic Honors at College

PELHAM, N.Y. – Several Pelham residents earned collegiate academic honors at their respective universities in the spring semester.

Jeremy Price, a Music Education major at SUNY Potsdam, made the Dean's List with about 400 other students. Price had to finish the semester with a GPA between 3.25 and 3.49 to earn that honor.

Rashidah Sherman, from Pelham Manor, made the Honors List at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Sherman needed at least a 3.5 GPA to make the list. Sherman attended the university's Metropolitan Campus in Teaneck and Hackensack, N.J.

Worcester Polytechnic University junior Christopher Pryor was one of 974 undergraduates to earn Dean's List honors at the college. He majors in mathematical science. WPI uses the amount of A level work students complete to determine who makes the Dean's List, rather than GPA.

Meghan Kilfeather graduated from SUNY New Paltz and received a B.A. in English.

Pelham Manor resident Kelly A. O'Brien, a junior at Trinity College in Hartford, Conn., earned Faculty Honors for having a GPA of at least 3.667 with no individual grade below B-minus.

Tricia K. Clancy and Kara A. Hennessey made the Dean's List at Fairfield University. Clancy, a freshman, studied in the College of Arts and Sciences while Hennessey, a sophomore, studied in the Dolan School of Business.
