To the editor:
I am writing in an effort to get you all out to cast a vote for Jennifer Monachino Lapey in the upcoming Pelham Manor mayoral election.
It’s time for a mayor who works on the people’s behalf, who is approachable, available and accountable to our city’s residents. It’s time for someone who considers more than their own agenda. A tough, hard worker who can tackle many of the issues that we face and matter to us in our community.
I believe Jennifer fits this role. She is smart, strong, intelligent, articulate and she is one of us.
This is not an election that should be voted along political party lines.
The issues that face us are community based and should be discussed and decided with common sense for the common good.
As a registered Democrat, I received a letter in the mail today from the incumbent mayor, Randy Sellier, supporting Neal Schwartzfeld. Both men have been virtually invisible to me in their tenures in Pelham Manor government. It’s time to change that.
I believe that Jennifer Monachino Lapey will set the tone for a better Pelham Manor.
Please join me in supporting her on the nonpartisan Neighborhood Party line on March 18.
