The digital recruiting platform -- started by moms who understand your needs (and talents) -- connects women with companies that are committed to diversifying their workforce and seeking the talent this demographic brings.

Après, which officially launches Wednesday, May 4, features full- and part-time jobs, short-term projects, maternity fill-in positions, and pro-bono opportunities. The site also offers members a broad platform of tools necessary for successfully navigating reentry into the workforce.

In general, said Co-Founder Jennifer Gefsky, a Chappaqua resident and lawyer by training, folks will find a like-minded community of women, along with exclusive content, including articles, videos, webinars and tutorials.

There is an untapped market of top talent in the U.S. -- millions of college educated women, many with advanced degrees, who are eager to return to the workforce after taking career breaks, added Niccole Kroll, a serial entrepreneur who grew up in Englewood, N.J. and co-founder of the site.

According to Kroll and Gefsky, more than 70 percent of women who opt out of the workforce eventually return. At the same time, companies are striving for effective tools to more efficiently recruit from this group.

Both say their members are well-educated and highly-skilled -- and ambitious about re-entering the workforce.

"Companies are eager to welcome these women back but do not currently have an effective way to efficiently recruit from this group. This is why we've created Après," explained Kroll.

Added Gefsky, formerly an Associate at Proskauer LLP in New York City, where she practiced labor and employment law before becoming Deputy General Counsel and one of the highest ranking woman at Major League Baseball: "The amazing response we've received from both women and companies has proven the strong need for a site like Après."

The two women run the site along with Ridgewood, N.J. residents Amy Nidds, who serves as corporate liaison, and Head of Strategic Content & Partnerships Kathleen Harris.
