Five Questions for Pelham Integrity Fitness Owner

PELHAM, N.Y. – Robert Corbellini owns Integrity Fitness on Wolfs Lane in Pelham. He lives with his wife, Barbara Miller, at Lawrence Park West, a Bronxville zone.

Question: Why did you decide to open a gym here rather than closer to home?

Answer: Because of the location, primarily. It's right near the train station and I was already established at Metro Fit, which is now Omni (Sports & Fitness Complex).

Q: Do you have a particularly fond memory of living in Bronxville?

A: I fixed up my house. It was a war zone. It was like living in the jungle. If you were to up there now, it's like a paradise. I have a waterfall and koi ponds up there. And a hot tub.

Q: What is your favorite sport besides power lifting?

A: Football because I played semi-pro ball for Bronx in the Atlantic Coast Conference League. I played center.

Q: What is your favorite football team?

A: The New York Giants. I went to my first game when I was 12 years old and I got to see them play the St. Louis Cardinals. They won, I think, 48-14. After that, I never rooted for another team.

Q: Do you think you'll ever open a new gym or move this one from Pelham?

A: No way, man. I'm looking to retire. I've been doing this for over 30 years. I'm going to be 61 in August. I don't know how much is left.
