PELHAM, N.Y. Dr. Linda M. Cozzi, 67, of New York City and Greenwood Lake, N.Y., died April 9 at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Medical Center.
Cozzi operated a private psychology practice on Wolfs Lane in Pelham.
Born New York City, she attended Mt. Carmel School and St. Catharine Academy in Bronx, N.Y. Cozzi then received a bachelors degree from Hunter College, a masters degree from New York University and a doctorate from Fordham University.
Cozzi was a teacher and school psychologist for the New York City Department of Education, as well as a clinical psychologist with private practices in Manhattan, Pelham and Greenwood Lake.
She is survived by her husband, Saleh Sobhi-Fakhry; her mother, Frances Cozzi; a sister, Dr. Emilie A. Cozzi; a brother, Robert (Maureen) Cozzi; and two nieces. She was predeceased by her father, Mario Cozzi.
Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday at Sinatra Funeral Home in Yonkers. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday at Mt. Carmel Church in the Bronx. Burial will follow at St. Raymond's Cemetery in the Bronx.
