As in, the claws come out.

Rotondi, who grew up in Lewisboro but now resides on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, was originally coupled with Taylor, but switched to Ben once she got to the Couples Villa, sending another girl back to the bungalows and Taylor home. The show, for those who haven't seen it, is produced by Emmy Award winner Mark Burnett.

It follows 12 young professional women looking for love, who instantly decide if they feel a spark of chemistry with the guy they've been set up with or wait for the next one. The real soap opera unfolds as new couples are formed and have to discover whether or not they have the compatibility to make their relationships last.

Of course this all takes place on a gorgeous Caribbean island -- in this case, Anguilla - making for dramatic scenes and scenery.

Rotondi, a John Jay High School grad, can't give too much away -- the show takes place over a six week time period -- but she did fill us on a few things, namely how she got involved in the show and how her friends/family feel seeing her romantic life play out on national TV. Read below for our conversation.

Daily Voice: How did you get involved in the show?

Lisa Rotondi: It's funny actually. My roommate signed me up for the show without me knowing. When I got the call from the casting company, she told me it was her that signed me up and she was just like "You're SO perfect for this"' I was getting pretty tired of the dating scene in NYC and thought it'd be a once in a life time experience, which it totally was!

Daily Voice: Fill us in on the experience so far.

Lisa Rotondi: I was really skeptical about actually being able to "find love" on a reality show. I thought there was no chance I'd ever be attracted to any guy willing to go on a show like this.

As skeptical as I was, though, I figured: what better "So how'd you two meet story?" could you get? We met on Tinder... Boring .. We met at a bar ... Boring ... We met on a reality TV show -- now that's a story!

Turns out they did an incredible job casting both men and women; everyone was so good looking, employed, driven, and genuine.

So far on the show it's been really interesting. I went to the villas with Taylor who was AWESOME, but then I met Ben and realized I had more chemistry with him. Did a little switcheroooo... Which I guess was super surprising to the viewers, but I mean, doesn't that happen in real life all the time?

Daily Voice: How do you friends/family feel watching you on TV?

Lisa Rotondi: They love it. My family is extremely supportive and my friends just think it's hilarious. My mom was sooo sad when Taylor left --haha -- but hopefully she'll be able to see more of Ben and I in the next few episodes.

Daily Voice: How has the experience overall been for you?

Lisa Rotondi: It was an incredible experience overall. I made friends I hope to keep for a lifetime, spent a month in the most beautiful place -- and now I get to reminisce every Tuesday!
