All classes will take place at The Picture House’s historic 1921 theater and the new Satellite Film Lab, 175 Wolfs Lane, Pelham.

Each day, children will work with a film industry professional and learn the different aspects of animation, from stop-motion, to claymation, to LEGO animation. They will create short animated films and two weeks later, parents will receive a link to their final product. Half- and full-day options are available.

A half day runs from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. and costs $75 (daily rate) or $300 (weekly rate). A full day runs from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and costs $125 (daily rate) or $480 (weekly rate). Members at the family level or higher receive a 10 percent discount on all education classes and camps.

Enrollment is currently open online at www.thepicturehouse.org, by calling 914-738-3161, or by emailing education@thepicturehouse.org.

Since 1921, The Picture House has served as a cultural center and community hub and is the oldest, continuously running movie theater in Westchester County.

Today, after an extensive renovation and the addition of state of the art technology, The Picture House shows the best in new, independent and classic cinema and provides students of all ages with the opportunity to learn about the art, science and business of film.
