PELHAM, N.Y. -- The outdoor courtyard at Pelham Art Center will feature a yarn bombing installation called Knit Knit Bomb Bomb from June 26 through Aug. 31.
Yarn will cover tree branches, benches and stretches of the center's brick walls.
The community knitting project is led by Maureen McCourt and Gail Heidel. The center has hosted free bi-monthly knitting circles where community members selected an object to cover with crochet or knitting.
The center will have an opening night reception from 6:30-8 p.m. June 26 in conjunction with the opening of the center's faculty and student showcase exhibition.
