The nationwide initiative celebrates its 25th annual year with a day-long event at more than 1,300 YMCAs, including activities such as soccer, basketball, wallyball and swimming.
The day will end with a dance party hosted by the Y's Teen Leaders.
Healthy Kids Day was created as a way to promote improving health and overall well-being for kids and families.
“A child’s development is never on vacation and Healthy Kids Day is a great opportunity to educate families and motivate kids to stay active in spirit, mind and body throughout the summer,” said White Plains YMCA Associate Executive Director Heather Bell.
The YMCA is at 250 Mamaroneck Ave.
