Monday, Jan. 7

Pelham School Board Meeting: 8 p.m. The Pelham School Board meets to hear what residents have to say about a donation for a proposed turf field at Glover Field. The board will also discuss the search for the district’s new superintendent. Pelham High School Alumni Hall, 575 Colonial Ave.

Tuesday, Jan. 8

New Rochelle City Council Meeting: The council meets to discuss various items on the agenda, including an agreement to allow county health department employees to park in the New Roc City garage, putting in flooring at the Hugh A. Doyle Senior Center and an emergency generator in City Hall. New Rochelle City Hall, 515 North Ave.

New Rochelle School Board Meeting: 7 p.m. The Board of Education meets to discuss a variety of items, including the community advisory committee for next year’s school budget. The board will hold its regular meeting at 8 p.m. Campus School, 50 Washington Ave.

Wednesday, Jan. 9

Norman Rockwell Celebration: The city begins its monthlong celebration honoring the life of one of its most famous citizens. New Rochelle Public Library, One Library Plaza.

Thursday, Jan. 10

New Rochelle Friendly Caller Program: 1 p.m.-2 p.m. Marilyn Bookchin of the American Red Cross will speak about this new program as well as other available services. Hugh A. Doyle Senior Center, 94 Davis Ave.

New Rochelle Alzheimer's Presentation: 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.: New Rochelle seniors can receive practical answers to questions that come about in the beginning stages of the disease during this special presentation. Hugh A. Doyle Senior Center, 94 Davis Ave.
