"Match," which debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival, tells the story of a Seattle couple (Carla Gugino and Matthew Lillard) who travel to New York to interview former dancer Tobi (played with remarkable dexterity by Patrick Stewart) for research on a dissertation about the dance landscape of 1960s New York City.

After the film, Picture House critic-in-residence Marshall Fine will lead a discussion and Q&A with the film’s writer and director, Stephen Belber.

Belber is an American playwright, screenwriter, and film director. He was born in Washington, D.C., attended Trinity College in Connecticut and the playwriting program at The Julliard School.

Belber made his Broadway writing debut in 2004 with the stage version of "Match." Among his award- winning credits, Belber also wrote the screenplay for the 2001 film adaptation of his play, "Tape," directed by Richard Linklater. He also wrote and directed the feature film, "Management (2008)," starring Jennifer Aniston and Steve Zahn. Belber's other plays include "The Transparency of Val," "The Wake," "Through Fred," "The Death of Frank," "Mel and Gene," "A small melodramatic story," "McReele" and "Stabbing."

Tickets to the screening of "Match" and post-film discussion are $12/general admission, $10/students and seniors, $6/members and are available at www.thepicturehouse.org or at the box office,  175 Wolfs Lane, Pelham.
