"Parting Glances" chronicles 24-hours in the life of preppy boyfriends Robert and Michael (Richard Ganoung and John Bolger) as they juggle social engagements before Robert, on assignment with an international health organization, embarks for Africa, and Michael is left to sort through the remains of his relationship with his H.I.V.-positive former lover the eccentric rocker Nick (Steve Buscemi).

"Parting Glances" was one of the first feature films to grapple with AIDS and the only feature film directed by Bill Sherwood, who died of AIDS-related complications in 1990. It was also the first screen appearance of Steve Buscemi, who would go on to become an award-winning prolific actor best known for his roles in "Boardwalk Empire," "Fargo," and more.

After the screening, TPH critic-in-residence Marshall Fine will host a discussion and Q&A with  Vachon, who is the co-head and co-founder of Killer Films, which has produced some of the most acclaimed American independent films. Vachon has received ten Independent Spirit Award nominations, winning Best Feature for the Academy Award-nominated "Far from Heaven" and the Producers Award for "I’m Losing You."

Vachon’s other production credits include "Hedwig and the Angry Inch," for which she received an Independent Spirit Award nomination; the Academy Award-winning "Boys Don’t Cry;" HBO Films’ "The Notorious Bettie Page," "Cairo Time, Cracks," "Motherhood," and many more.

Tickets to the screening of "Parting Glances" and post-film discussion are $12 for general admission, $6 for members, $10 for students and seniors, and free for Secret Summer Series ticket holders. Tickets are available at www.thepicturehouse.org or at the box office, 175 Wolfs Lane, Pelham, N.Y. 10803.
