The film will be followed by a discussion and Q&A with the Natalie Cash, executive producer at Wildlife Conservation Society, organizers said.
The show starts at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 21.
Cash creates innovative programming about WCS projects for multiple platforms.
Prior to joining WCS, she was a series producer and writer at the award-winning documentary production company Pangolin Pictures.
Directed by Oscar-winning Louie Psihoyos, “Racing Extinction” follows a team of artists and activists as they expose the hidden world of extinction. “Never-before-seen images” will, wildlife experts said, “change the way viewers see the planet”
Psihoyos directed “The Cove,” the 2009 documentary that targeted dolphin hunting practices in Japan.
It won the Academy Award for best documentary feature in 2010.
Tickets to the public screening of “Racing to Extinction” and the post-film discussion are $15, general admission; $12 for members; $10 for seniors, and free for students who present valid identification.
