So far, 80 people making up 15 teams have registered to take part in the event, which will be held June 1 and 2 at Glover Field. The participants have already raised $3,450.
Relay for Life is an American Cancer Society event that is held around the country. Teams typically spend several months fundraising before walking the Relay itself. During the event, at least one member from each team must be present on the track at all times over the twelve hour period. In the meantime, teams typically set up tents and camp out.
Tuesday's meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Rockwells. Visit the American Cancer Society's website for more information.
