Pelham Civic Association Celebrates Anniversary With Dinner Dance Gala

PELHAM, N.Y. -- A record crowd of 580 attendees celebrated at the Pelham Civic Association;'s 76th Annual Dinner Dance Oct. 30 at New Rochelle's The Fountainhead.

”Our entire Dinner Dance Committee worked very hard and did a fabulous job in putting together this remarkable event," said Pelham Civic President Joe Benefico. 

Jeanette and Anthony Senerchia and Keneth Shirreffs were this year's Persons of the Year. 

The Senerchias were responsible for the "Ice Bucket Challenge" that raised more than $220 million for ALS Research and established The Anthony Senerchia Jr. Charitable Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to assisting underprivileged families suffering from ALS.

Shirreffs is a long-time member of the Pelham Civic Association, a Pelham Civics Board of Director and a Chairmen of the Civics' Needy Cases/Good Neighbor Program. His record-breaking fundraising efforts include the Pelham Civics' Benefit Golf Outing. 

The Pelham Civic Association assists youths, seniors, people in financial need and the physically and mentally challenged. 

The event featured live music by Civic Member Jason Jeffries and his band The Stellar Wolfs, a casino-like Las Vegas portion and silent and live auctions.
