Pelham Arts Center Hosts Opening For Lindy Chambers Exhibit

PELHAM, N.Y. – An opening reception and all-age art workshop for the Lindy Chambers exhibit will be held Friday, May 1, from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Pelham Art Center.

Chambers, of Bellville, Texas, is the winner of the 2015 Alexander Rutsch Award and Solo Exhibition for Painting. The jury selected Chambers from more than 456 applicants from across the country. As the winner, she will receive a $5,000 cash prize and solo exhibition at Pelham Art Center from May 1 - June 13.

Chambers was one of five finalists. Other finalists included Noa Charuvi of New York City; Brett Eberhardt of Providence, R.I.; Susan Klein of Charleston, S. C.; and Sarah McKenzie of Boulder, Colo.

The Pelham Art Center is at 155 Fifth Ave., Pelham.
