Atlantic City Teenagers Arrested In Stolen Car With Loaded Gun, Heroin

A pair of teenagers from South Jersey was arrested in a stolen car with a loaded handgun and 80 bags of heroin, authorities said.

At 10:34 p.m. on Monday, Atlantic City Detectives Anthony Abrams and Nicholas Berardis stopped a car in the 300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue after recognizing a 16-year-old driver who did not have a valid license.

The driver and passenger, 17, were arrested after the vehicle was found to have been reported stolen from Galloway, police said. 

The passenger, from Atlantic City, had a loaded handgun and 80 bags of heroin, police said. He was charged with multiple drug and weapons offenses.

The 16-year-old was charged with receiving stolen property and released to a parent

The 17-year-old was being held at Harborfields Detention Facility.
