The call from Brookwood Drive in the Masonicus section came in as a chimney fire just before 1:30 p.m., responders told CLIFFVIEW PILOT, adding that the workers apparently started it for warmth.
Flames quickly spread to the walls and garage, they said.
All five township companies responded, along with Ramsey FAST and a Tallman, NY engine.
