Pelham Caterer Behind Ryan Piers Williams' Artwork Debut

RYE, N.Y. -- Ryan Piers Williams, a filmmaker who's worked with Steven Soderbergh and George Clooney, among others, is showing another side of his artistic talents at Serendipity Labs in Rye, where his first show, "Monsters & Landscapes," is on display until August.

His wife, actress America Ferrera, was in attendance at the opening reception Wednesday, as were a host of other local artists and residents.

The show -- Williams' first in Westchester -- explores the human relationship with nature and incorporates the beautiful and destructive ways both interact.

"I'm excited to be displaying my works in Westchestser," he said. "This is such a creative and vibrant place."

In fact, Williams got married in Westchester and will be continuing his relationship with the county when his show moves later this summer to the Hammond Museum in North Salem.

He is involved with both venues, thanks to Pelham-based Nisa Lee Events and Catering, which has ties to both facilities.
