The studio, formerly Yoga Palestra (and before that, Larchmont Yoga), is owned by Pelham residents, Dave and Carolyn Frost. The two did a complete renovation since buying the place this past summer, adding a new sound system, flooring, and paint, and hiring new instructors.
"It's been lightened and brightened," said Carolyn.
Another addition: a retail boutique with yoga and wellness apparel and mats, where, this month only, clients are entitled to 10 percent off any item.
And, of course, there's a new schedule with offerings that include daily Hot Bikram, weekly Hot Pilates and two regular Vinyasa sessions. Clients will even find music in the Friday night and Wednesday morning classes.
For those wanting to get more involved, the Frosts offer Karma yoga, a work/study program which rewards every hour worked at the studio with a free class. Usually people come in 30 minutes before class to help clean and then stay 30 minutes after class to clean again.
Another point of difference for the studio: it's family-centric atmosphere. Both Frosts oversee the studio as does Carolyn's mom.
