Pelham-based Insurer EFK Merges With Arnold K. Davis

PELHAM, N.Y. — Pelham insurance company Eifert, French & Ketchum announced a merger with Arnold K. Davis Insurance. Davis Insurance will become a division of EFK and be based out of Pelham after maintaining offices in New York City and Purchase.

Both companies have a long history and are still run by family.

Alan Eifert founded the original company in New York in 1933, eventually expanding to Westchester County in 1969. EFK is now run by third-generation family member Brian Eifert and has two offices in Westchester County, along with another in Bergen County, N.J.

Robert A. Davis is Arnold K. Davis Insurance's president and has worked for the company founded by his father for 45 years. The company itself dates to 1954.
